What is the SAT test?
The SAT is a globally recognized college admission test that measures achievement in reading, mathematics, and writing.  There is an option essay test.  Students take the test the spring of the junior year and the fall of their senior year.  Colleges & universities use the SAT test scores as part of their admissions decision.


What are the SAT Subject Tests?

SAT Subject tests are hour long content based tests that allow a student to show achievement in a specific area.  Students may take one, two, or three subject tests in an SAT administration.  SAT subject tests are used in the college admissions process to allow a student to highlight special talent in a particular academic area.  They may be required by some colleges/universities as a part of an application or for application to a specific program/major.

  • Physics
  • U.S. History
  • World History
  • Mathematics Level 1
  • Mathematics Level 2
  • French
  • German
  • Spanish
  • Modern Hebrew
  • Italian
  • Latin
  • French with listening
  • German with listening
  • Spanish with listening
  • Chinese with listening
  • Japanese with listening
  • Korean with listening

 Important information 
  • There are NO SAT SUBJECT tests offered at the March administration
  • The only time the SAT Subject Listening tests are offered is at the November administration.
  • The October 5 & May 2 tests are OFFERED AT WEST MILFORD HIGH SCHOOL
  • You get FOUR FREE Score Reports - you must indicate what colleges you want these sent to when you register.  Make sure you do this - otherwise it is like giving away a FREE coupon!!
  • There are security requirements including UPLOADING A PHOTO!  Be sure to follow the  guidelines when you register!  Students with photos that do not meet guidelines will NOT be allowed to test.
  • Fee waivers are available for students who met specified eligibility criteria - a link is provided below for students/parents wishing more information on this service.
